South African government orders investigation into
JOHANNESBURG,MBT Shugul Mens Shoes, June 26 () -- South African Transport Minister Ben Martins on Tuesday instructed the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) to immediately launch an investigation into the cause of a bus crash that killed at least 19 people.Martins called on the Putco Bus Company (PBC), owner of the bus, to cooperate unconditionally during the investigation."There are no words to describe the shock with which we received the sad and unfortunate reports of this tragic end to lives," Martins said,Mens Flare True Religion Jeans, calling on authorities to investigate all possible reasons that could have led to this crash."We call on the bus operating company to work with authorities in order to expedite the investigation into the cause of this crash," the minister added.The bus plummeted off a bridge in Meyerton, Gauteng province, on Monday, killing 19 people on board and injuring 55 others. The bus driver also died at the scene. It is believed to be among the most serious traffic accidents in the country in recent years.It remains unclear what might have caused the driver to lose control of the bus."No effort should be spared in determining the cause of this horrific incident. Road Traffic management authorities must leave no stone unturned in their probe," the minister said.Soon after the accident, the RTMC dispatched a team of specialists to the scene to investigate the accident.The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is assisting the bereaved families and the injured with assessments in relation to injury claims and funeral arrangements.Martins urged motorists and road users to exercise great caution at all times on the roads and abide by the traffic rules."Only if we all obey the rules of the road without expectation that we can meet our objectives of reducing the road fatality rate,Moncler Men's Down Coats, " Martins said.The minister also called on road users to join hands with the government in the quest to realize the objective of the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020 campaign which aims to reduce road deaths by 50 percent.Road carnage is a daily phenomenon, particularly during holidays in South Africa,www.truereligionjeanstrade.net, which is among the countries that have the highest road facilities.
